On PTI the other day Mike and Tony said that counting shots taken in the last 10 seconds of a game that would tie or give his team the lead, Melo is 7-11 in his career and LeBron is 2-15.
Could they be the Brady-Manning of the NBA? I hope so.
It's amazing to me that people refuse to acknowledge that sometimes pressure changes performance. Some great regular season players can't do it in the postseason. And some guys who aren't that great normally step up big in pressure situations. And when it happens repeatedly, it's not coincidence, and it's not totally a product of the team, it's the way the individual deals with pressure. Manning will probably never win a Super Bowl, and Brady probably has at least one more in his future.
