Swayze Covers All the Bases

In reviewing the trandscendant career of Patrick Swayze it was brought up that his appeal extends across gender lines. He starred in one of the best "guy" movies of all-time, "Road House" and one of the worst, "Point Break." He also starred in one of the best chick flicks, "Ghost," and one of the worst, "Dirty Dancing."

Mr. Poop, "you gotta go DOWN!"

If TON doesn't, I'll come after you myself. I didn't hear about any other Swayze movies that became stage plays. Such a good movie. Lori Petty was hot, Gary Busey wasn't crazy from a head injury yet, Swayze was a good as a bad guy, and Keanu was over-the-top Keanu at his best.

I think Dirty Dancing is just as dumb as Ghost, but I wouldn't call it a bad chick flick. Much more popular than Ghost.

Josh loves "Nobody puts baby in the corner."

I voted "Other" for Donnie Darko. Swayze played a hypocritical motivational speaker in it -- hilarious, yet tragic role.

I tried to embed 2 good scenes from the movie, but apparently you're an HTML hardass and won't allow that.

Thank j and billa, holdin down the fort for me! That's what I'm talkin about! And yes, you're correct...my first instinct was to grab a bat and hop on a train.

I love everything about Point Break...even pre-Heidi Fleiss Tom Sizemore is fantastic in his 2 minute scene.

I'll also agree with bill about Dirty Dancing...the ladies love that movie.

rzr - I didn't even remember Swayze being in Donnie Darko...my head still hurts from trying to figure out what the hell that movie was about.
