Don't Have Skype Sex on a Stolen Computer

An Ohio woman settled a lawsuit with a software company after she claimed the company grabbed a sexually explicit photo of her from her computer.
Here's what happened: Susan Clements-Jeffrey, a teacher, age 52, bought a laptop from a student for $60.
Not surprising that computer had been stolen, and sold to another student for $40, who quickly flipped it to his naive teacher for a 50% profit.
Mrs. Clements-Jeffrey used the computer and the webcam to communicate with her out of state boyfriend.
This is where Absolute Software comes in.
In an attempt to recover the stolen property, the company grabbed a webcam image of Clements-Jeffrey. They used a webcam image rather than some other saved photo, because that's the only way to determine who is actually using the computer.
They also used the tracking software to locate the computer. They turned over the location and the explicit photo to local police, who arrested Clements-Jeffrey.
She sued, claiming her privacy and been violated and she had no idea the computer was stolen. A judge agreed and ruled in her favor (instead of taking it further, the parties settled).
The judge ruled, even though the company was tracking stolen property, a legitimate purpose, it crossed a line when it obtained and disseminated (to police) a sexually explicit image of Clements-Jeffrey.
I agree. And I would love to side with her but for one big thing. She didn't know the computer was stolen? There's no way that can be true. She bought a laptop from a student for $60 and didn't think it had been stolen. Not possible.
Not saying she deserved to have her naked photos exposed, but when you traffic in stolen goods I believe you lose some of your rights. And I think she should have had this case dismissed.

An arrest of a teacher at xxxxxxx High School has taken the community by surprise.

"Like you, we're obviously shocked and dismayed at the allegations," said xxxxxx Schools Superintendent Terrance Brewer.

Kirk Hellwig, a 37-year-old social studies teacher, was arrested by Police Monday morning. Hellwig is charged with engaging in a sexual act with a 16-year-old male student on school grounds and during school hours.

Students reported rumors of the relationship to the principal on Thursday. Hellwig has worked for the school district since 1999 as an American history and government teacher with no prior complaints.

Helwig was released on bail and appears in court later this week. He was suspended from all his duties in the school district. Brewer said the students' safety will be the district's top priority, especially after the arrest."

Topless Teacher

A teacher at an Oklahoma High School want a teacher fired after a topless photo of her was passed around school.
She had a picture of herself licking her own tit on her cell phone. Someone stole her phone and sent the picture around.
Now I respect her right to have tits, to lick them and to photograph herself doing so. But she should have been more careful about what she did with the picture.
And here's another question: the kids who stole her phone, they just got lucky? Or did they somehow know she had a topless photo on there?
Either way, the parents should relax, no one ever got hurt by seeing boobies. Well, no one other than this guy.

Hot For Teacher

A middle school teacher accused of having sex with at least five boys -- some of them students at her school -- was arrested.
Police began investigating Allenna Williams Ward, 23, after school officials recovered a note containing inappropriate messages.
Ward, who is married, had sexual encounters with the 14- and 15-year-old boys at various locations, including in the school, at a motel, in a park and behind a restaurant, from December to this month, according to arrest warrants.
Some of the victims were students at Ward's school.
