Tennis Player We Can Root For
James Blake employed an old wrestling tactic for his first round match at the U.S. Open. Looking for "cheap heat," Blake came out wearing a Mets shirt with the #16 and his name on the back. I couldn't find a picture of that but I did find this shot where you can see (if you look closely) a Mets logo on his left sleeve.

Wouldn't that technically be a "cheap pop"? "Cheap heat" would be if he came out wearing a Jimmy Rollins jersey.
That is correct anonymous (aka PPD)... Blake was going for the cheap pop (and talked about it after the match).
But can we talk more about the gangsta he played? Daniel Young? I thought it was Michael Vick on the other end of the court.
Does that make me a racist or is tennis that lacking in minority players (outside of Blake - who is more Jeter-ish, and the Williams girls)?
