I agree that the general direction of the lyrics is similar to "Cater 2 U" (SOTW, 11/26/08) but nothing else is the same. It doesn't sound similar at all. It's not even the same artist, technically.
I certainly don't think either song is diminished by the existence of the other.
Would you have told Smokey Robinson and the Miracles not to release "The Tears of a Clown" just because they'd already done "Tracks of My Tears?"
