John Maine is going to get the ball in Game 1. He has pitched well and the Mets have won a large portion of his starts. He just needs to keep his composure and not let the playoff atmosphere get to him.
El Duque was left off Division Series roster entirely. He was replaced by Oliver Perez. The Mets also added Royce Ring instead of Mike DiFelice to have an extra arm in the bullpen.
