CNN's Head is Up Uranus

CNN says the blackberry outage is "impacting users on almost every planet."

Just seeing this now, heh awesome. Since you're someone with knowledge of that field, things like that are rarely actual mistakes right? Just some attempted humor for those that see it?

In this particular case I'm not really sure what happened. I think they meant to say "on every plan" (meaning carrier like AT&T, Verizon, etc) but accidentally typed two extra letters.

I think in most cases that I've been involved in (but not responsible for), like "Pope's Christmas Massage" and "Longshoremen Go Rouge", they were complete typos that were not checked by anyone.

This screwup was probably the result of the same thing. You would be surprised how things that hundreds of thousands maybe millions of people will see make it to air without being viewed by a second pair of eyes.
