Embarrassing
It's not even over and I'm disgusted about the way Syracuse played against DePaul. In a must win game they played no defense and showed no heart. Worst loss in 15 years, since the first round loss to Richmond in 1991.

Paul, you stole my thunder. I was prepared to wear a Syracuse golf shirt to work on Friday for casual day. This game has convinced me not to.
I can't remember an SU performance (not even in football) that has made me take such an action. To make me not want people to know I went to the university.
I'm not sure if one loss can take a team out of the NCAA tournament but if it can, this one will. Of course it will likely be followed by losses to Villanova and Cincinnati/Seton Hall but you get the idea. Syracuse was comfortably in the tournament this afternoon. Their resume was good even if we knew their team wasn't.
At least something good came out of this. Rick Majerus became the first member of the national media (at least that I heard) to claim that Gerry McNamara was not a great shooter.
G-Mac is John Starks without Pat Ewing. I've been proclaiming his shittiness for years. He's just another white boy who can hit a 19'9" jump shot when the other team is doubling the better players (i.e. Melo, Kueth, Hakim, etc) on the floor. Goodbye and Good Riddance Gerry. I hope Scranton is wiped off the earth too to erase any proof of your existence.
Even worse Derek, if the 'Cuse doesn't make the Dance, who will we represent in the March Madness Beer Pong tournament? Londonderry Community College?
