Passing of a Legend

Author Kurt Vonnegut died Tuesday night.
As much as I love to read I don't really care for fiction, especially pompous overrated fiction.
So the only thing I know about Vonnegut is that according to the teacher in "Back to School," "whoever wrote this knows nothing about Vonnegut."

Has any Poophead ever read anything by Vonnegut? If yes, I bet it's Reissberg or maybe Damino in some pompous Ivy League class.

Never read any Vonnegut.

Me neither, but English & Lit majors are force-fed his work at CU (he's an alum).

Strangely enough, I'm halfway through Slaughterhouse Five at this very moment.

I made it halfway through Slaughterhouse Five before boredom finally forced me to toss it. What a load of crap.

Apparently Slaughterhouse Five was informed by his real life experiences as a POW in Nazi Germany in 1945.
Other than that I know nothing about it.
Maybe a case for Paulo's book club
