Actress Katie Holmes, 27, fiancée of Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise, 43, has given birth to a baby girl, Suri.
“The child weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 20 inches in length. Both mother and daughter are doing well. The name Suri has its origins in Hebrew meaning “princess,” or in Persian meaning “red rose.”, said Paul Bloch, Cruise’s publicist.
This is Holmes’s first child. This is Cruise’s third child. He has two children, Connor, 11, and Isabella, 13, from his previous marriage to Academy-Award winning actress Nicole Kidman.
