USBL Draft, the Northeast Pennsylvania Breakers, select Gerry McNamara, guard, Syracuse University.
Obviously, this was a marketing move since the Breakers play in Scranton. And they could count on huge ticket sales to idiots who will ride to the games on buses even though they live 5 minutes away.
Believe it or not G-Mac turned them down so he can focus on preparing for the NBA Draft. Obviously, he is not going to make the league. But maybe I was wrong when I predicted he would end up playing ball in Turkey. Although, I think Scranton might be worse.
